Hi, I'm Jennalee
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2009 and received my Master's in Science in Mental Health Counseling Degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2014. I have been certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Childhood Traumatic Grief through Medical University of South Carolina.
My experience includes work with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-worth, identity exploration, stress management, regulating behaviors and emotions, life transitions, self-harming, social skills development, and mood disorders. My specialization is in individual and family counseling with adolescents and adults.
My Mission
My mission individually and collectively is to serve our community by making mental health accessible to all women and girls in both English and Spanish. I strive to offer a safe, encouraging, and inclusive space through each stage of the journey to healing. MIA Counseling provides women, parents and teen girls with the opportunity to heal, grow and establish healthy relationships within their family and their community. My hope is to eliminate the negative stigma placed on mental health in the Latino community and to provide support to those who need it most.
